Manchester United, Liverpool and Chelsea are reportedly all in the hunt to sign Falkirk youngster Tony Gallacher.

The 17-year-old defender made his first-team debut aged just 16 in 2015 and is viewed as one of Scotland’s brightest talents.

A number of clubs have sent scouts to watch the teenager, who’s made seven appearances this season.

According to the Daily Mail, Falkirk are bracing themselves to receive offers for Gallacher in the final days of the transfer window.

It is claimed Stoke made a £100,000 bid for the player in the summer.

While Barcelona, Manchester City, Celtic and Everton have all sent scouts to watch Gallacher.

Last month Falkirk boss Peter Houston admitted Gallacher would leave the club sooner rather than later.

He said: “I’ve had phone calls from all sorts of people around all sorts of different clubs asking about Tony. Word gets about and scouts swarm.

“People have asked me what it would take to get him but I tell them they’ll have to put in a bid and then we’ll see.

“Falkirk will always need to be a selling club but we’re also in a good financial position so it would have to be an offer that is too good to turn down.”
