Jürgen Klopp accepts the acclaim for Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah is 'normal' – but should not take anything away from the contribution of Sadio Mane.

Firmino and Salah set each other up at St Mary’s on Sunday afternoon to secure a 2-0 win for Liverpool in their Premier League clash with Southampton.

The goals increased the duo’s season tallies to 20 and 29 respectively.

But while Klopp understands such a high level of form is always going to be a magnet for praise, the manager does not want anybody to overlook Mane’s efforts – or, indeed, those of the rest of the team.

“Sadio trains at an extremely high level, to be honest. That’s the only way and that’s good. Everything will be fine,” he told Liverpoolfc.com.

“It’s normal to talk about Mo and Roberto, and it’s also normal for people to sometimes overlook a player’s contribution – but I don’t oversee it.

“It’s obvious they are in good form and good shape and have been for months.

“Sadio’s effort would have been the most spectacular goal of the game [on Sunday] – he was, I think, six-foot high to shoot. It was unbelievable, an Olympic jump!

“It’s all good; it’s always that when players are more in focus, it’s because they deliver by scoring or whatever and we need that. I only don’t like it if we talk constantly about these players because you will always forget somebody, but that’s the world.”
